McDonald's Corporation

Ray Kroc in 1954 visited McDonald's in San Bernardino, California and convinced the brothers, Richard and Maurice, to let him franchise McDonald's.
In 1961, over 100 million burgers had been sold, Ray buys out the McDonald's brothers for 2.7 million in cash.
In 1984 Ray Kroc died at the age of 81.

The Ray A. Kroc Museum
McDonald's Plaza
Oak Brook, IL 60523

Ray Kroc was as American as baseball, apple pie, and hamburgers.  He was a dreamer, a fierce competitor, a brilliant business innovator and a man who believed in giving back to the community.

The museum presents and documents Ray's life and values from growing up in Oak Park, Illinois, to selling shake mixers where he met the McDonald brothers, to founding and building the McDonald's Corporation.

Visit the Ray Kroc Museum and learn more about this American business legend.
